According to CoreLogic data, house price falls gathered pace in July 2022, with prices down in over 80% of suburbs nationwide.

The property market at Waikawa Beach stagnated in the first half of 2022. However in the last couple of weeks both 40 Manga Pirau Street and 686 Waikawa Beach Road have finally sold after about 4 or 5 months on the market.

I looked up Waikawa Beach, of course, at Mapping the Market – March 2022 to find that perhaps our median house price has increased in the last 3 months: $783,950 is the current median value of Waikawa Beach.
That’s especially interesting in light of the fact there are currently a dozen properties on the market that don’t seem to be selling at all.
It’s not often we get a whole new street in our little community at Waikawa Beach, but in the last few days Ash Fogden Way has popped up off Reay Mackay Grove. It’s not far from the south track to the beach.
Presumably this services the new subdivision which already has one completed house and another being built.
For a few years there were no properties for sale at Waikawa Beach. Any that did come on the market were snapped up very quickly at very high prices. But we’ve now entered a lull. The map shows where 13 properties are on the market as at 16 March 2022. Residential listings date as far back as 10 January 2022. Note: the marker by Holly Way is for 3 lifestyle sections.
