Please ensure that you safeguard all Electronic Equipment, including those used for medical reasons or in case of an emergency. For medical and security alarms, most will have a battery backup though we strongly recommend you call your provider to check it will continue to fully operate during this outage Charge up your devices and power banks to stay connected Boil the jug and fill a vacuum flask if you have one Don't forget about the barbeque if you have one, you may be able to help out your neighbour with hot water for coffee Your fridge will be ok if you don't leave it open, or you could freeze some bottles of water the day before to pop in there if you are concerned Check to see if you can open your garage door manually or park your car outside the garage before the power goes off Please don't park out on the street if you can avoid it, we may need the space to carry out our work If you rely on a water pump that wont be available during the outage, consider filling some bottles for drinking water, and buckets to wash hands and flush the toilet
