A few days ago we had gales blowing from the west or southwest for a couple of days. A huge amount of sand was blown around. In the area where the new dunes are growing south of the river mouth it was easy to see how much had accumulated.
The map shows roughly where new dunes have been growing for the last few years.
Birds nest in this area … the building dunes should offer them more protected areas.
