Ōtaki to Ohau safety improvement works underway
In December last year the Peka Peka to Ōtaki expressway opened, and permanent speed limit changes from Ōtaki to Levin were rolled out. Now the first stages of SH1 safety improvements, between Ōtaki and Manakau, is underway. Contractors are onsite, with construction of two out of three new turnaround areas underway. Work also includes stretches of median and side barrier and wide centrelines. …Ō2NL new highway
Our applications for Notices of Requirement and RMA consents were submitted late last year. Councils invited submissions during January/February and the applications have now been referred to the Environment Court. We have commenced discussions around property acquisition for all landowners within the project designation, and preparation for the main procurement process is underway.Wednesday 31 May 2023
