Thanks to the weekly Neighbourhood Support New Zealand newsletter we know that recently there have been people or vehicles acting suspiciously and at least one burglary in Waikawa Beach.
The latest Criminal Occurrences listing shows that on 18 March 2022 there was a car or person acting suspiciously and on the same day a burglary around Waikawa Beach Rd (640–670). That’s roughly in the area between Walkers Lane and Sarah Street.
From memory, the previous week’s listing had a similar event though I can no longer find the newsletter to verify that.
Update, 28-Mar–22: I found the previous one. Sometime between 28 February and 06 March 2022 there was a burglary at an address between 600 and 690 Waikawa Beach Road.
